• The Bellamoon Restaurant The local family owners (my aunt, uncle and first cousins are friendly and welcoming) have endowed this low-key restaurant with an extremely endearing quality. There are a small community of locals that tend to meet up regularly, adding to the ambience. Feel free to say hello and join in the festivities! The food is well price, more importantly the quality of the organic meat is of a very high standard. The meats are marinated daily in local spices and herbs. The Meze are well laid out, and you will find the drinks here are inexpensive - additionally they to give a free glass with every main meal you consume. Discount of 10% for guests at the apartments!
  
  
• The Uzac Bar/ Restaurant Here you can witness the sunsets and Abbey from the upper levels of the wooden veranda. Or alternatively go for entertainment on Friday or Saturday night and you can have fish or meat with meze for a fixed price. At around 9:30 pm (I think - best to check) a very exciting belly dancer will spice up your evening. You are free to dance with her if you are feeling rather brave or the alternative is to give money (her tips for the evening). This completed by folding your notes and carefully inserting into a part of her clothing. Have fun. Give the Mediterranean dance a try.

NIGHTLIFE

• Mare Monte is a 5.6 mile ( 9 km ) from Girne. It has a quite famous open air discotheque with very large sound system and all the most modern sounds. This club overlooks a beach area.
  
  
• Cafe34 - Kyrenia Harbour within the harbour: A bar which is popular with locals and the university students. Saturday tend to be by far the bigger night of the two weekend nights. As most Cypriots tend spend Friday nights with the family, for Saturday night to go out.
  
  
• Another big Club in Kyrenia: This rather impressive club with outside balcony, square bar with two dance floor areas and some rather large speakers that makes for an interesting night of popular, house, rare groove, funk.
