HOLIDAY VILLA RENTAL AT SANTA PONSA MALLORCA WITH SWIMMING POOL

Villa to rent in Majorca with large pool only 200 meters from the sea at Santa Ponsa (Mallorca) and very close to 3 golf courses, 2 marinas and 3 beaches. All three bedrooms and the living area have air-conditioning.

This Southwest coast is only 20/25 minutes drive from the airport and there is plenty of entertainment (Aquapark, Western Park, Pirates, Marineland etc.) within a short drive.


The setting of the villa is a select, peaceful area only 2.5 kilometres from the town of Santa Ponsa, which has one large beach in the town, and another beach can be found between the centre and the villa. The sea, just 200 meters away is accessible although rocky, but recommended only for very strong swimmers. About the same distance in the other direction can be found the small town of El Toro with a nice safe beach ideal for children. A Spar supermarket, bakery and a couple of bars and restaurants are also in the town and more bars and restaurants in the lovely small marina.




The living areas of the villa are on the upper floors to take advantage of the marvellous panoramic views of the sea and the Malgrat Islands. The kitchen is modern and fully equipped with oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. The dining room leads off it with seating for 6 - 8 persons and views to the sea. In the sitting room can be found 2 large sofas, satellite Sky TV and a video and CD player. All around the lounge are terraces where dinner can be taken while watching the sun go down on the sea.

On the lower floor there are 3 bedrooms, one with king-size bed with en-suite bathroom and 2 twin bedrooms. There is a large family bathroom on this floor and a small separate laundry room. The master bedroom and the passageway open out onto another terrace, a few steps down and there is the very large open terrace of the pool.

The swimming pool, 170cms deep all around, has a barbecue area with lots of shady seating and a shower. The whole terrace is surrounded by mature well-kept gardens ensuring peace and privacy.

The resort of Santa Ponsa is smaller and more sedate than its rowdy neighbour Magalluf as there are few big hotels. The town is spread around a large bay with the main beach at the centre with pinewoods between the beach and the shops. A "paseo" (promenade) has been built all around the beach for tourists and locals alike to stroll along in the cool of the evening. Further along the main road towards the villa there is a small beach also with many trees for shade.
Wonderful yachts can be seen in the Marina, just a 10-minute walk away and on the promontory there is a monument in the shape of a cross for King Jaime 1 who drove the Moors from the island in 1229, which has a spectacular view of the whole bay.

There is no shortage of things to do, shops of every kind, many bars, restaurants of every price and type, Pizzererias, Chinese, and beautiful restaurants along the shore. Entertainment in the form of Aquapark, Western Park and Pirates are only a few minutes drive and Marineland is a wonderful day out for children and adults and only 10 minutes away. There are 3 Championship Golf courses in the town, Santa Ponsa 1 being the only open to the public and Poniente Golf Club in the other direction from the villa, only minutes drive away. Palma, the capitol city only 15 minutes drive away, is not to be missed with the huge Cathedral, lovely old buildings, an Arab quarter and not forgetting the shopping!
Cleaning is done before arrival and weekly for guests staying longer than 1 week and we do not ask an extra charge.

Bookings are taken Saturday to Saturday, minimum period 1 week. Prices vary from £825 per week to £1600 per week depending on the number of weeks and the time of year.
