Self contained luxury self-catering apartment with 1 double bed in quiet rural area of Lanzarote (but only 10 mins drive from Puerto del Carmen) with fully fitted kitchen and English TV.

The apartment for rental (sleeps 2)

The apartment consists of a lounge/kitchen diner (approx. 14'6" by 15'6"), and a double bedroom. The apartment is an annex to the owners Villa that has it's own entrance, front door and garden and enjoys good views of the sea and mountains.

Guests are welcome to use the villa's pool, at mutually agreed times if necessary. The apartment is in a residential area - not a holiday resort - in a village called Guime.

The kitchen area is fully equipped including full cooker, microwave and fridge-freezer and contains a table and four chairs. Saucepans, crockery, cutlery, glasses, toaster, kettle etc are also included. The Lounge area has a three-seater settee, an armchair, a coffee table and two wall units, one housing a full sized TV.

The bedroom has one 4'6" double bed, a fitted wardrobe unit, bedside table and lamp. The ensuite shower room has a shower, WC, washbasin and washing machine.

Location

The village is centrally situated and close to the main Hipermarkets on the island. It is a short drive to the capital (Arrecife) and also to the tourist areas of Puerto del Carmen and Costa Tequise.

There is no bus service to the village of Guime although taxis are relatively cheap - about 6 (GBP) to the centre of Arrecife. You can see the sea from the apartment, although the nearest beach is about ten minutes drive away, so car hire is advisable (see below for information).

The village has one grocer's shop and also a Social Cub which has a bar selling food. There are many restaurants and bars just a short drive away.

How to get to the apartment on Lanzarote

The apartment is 10 minutes by car/taxi from Arrecife Airport (we are not under the flight path!) Car hire can cost from as little as EUR 100 per week and there are many car hire companies on Lanzarote including six in the arrivals hall of the airport. At busy times it is advisable to book in advance.

This apartment is available for between £100 to £175 per week. Also long let possible from £75 per week.

There is very little sand at all on Tenerife: it is a volcanic island and is mostly volcanic ash or cinders along the coastal path with outcrops of rocks or pebbles going down to the sea (for instance Pebble Beach . . . ). Having said that many people sunbathe on the rocks and children often play on the pebbles though sandy it is not -- sand has to be imported from the Sarah desert to make beaches on Tenerife!! Los Gigantes is one of those places . . .
