COSTA DORADA CHALET FOR RENT NEAR REUS AND NATURE RESERVE ON RIVER EBRO DELTA
To the South East of the Costa Brava in Catalonia is the less well known Costa Dorada when the River Ebro flows into the Mediterranean. Accessed from Reus airport (Iberia, Ryanair), Barcelona (EasyJet, Iberia), Valencia (EasyJet, Iberia, Ryanair) and Girona (Ryanair). The rental chalet is located in the Delta del Ebro Nature Reserve, in the rice growing region of Spain and an area of outstanding natural beauty.

The province of Tarragona is an ideal as a year-round holiday destination. Peaceful, wonderful for walking, cycling, bird watching and generally unwinding, with wide sandy beaches to enjoy and cafes providing refreshments during the hot Summer months.
The nearby bird hide is reached by a board walk, which keep this birders facility open during the wetter periods (the hides are not suitable for wheelchair access).

The chalet underwent renovations in Spring 2005 to include new kitchens, bathrooms, new furniture, patios, etc, and includes a ROOF TOP SOLARIUM. The photos shown testify to the beautiful results.

From our Guest BookThe house was very very nice indeed. The children had almost complete free run of the swimming pool.The location was a real get away from it all place but still had the beach and sea on the doorstep enough bars and restaurants nearby. The surrounding area provide plenty of alternatives of other things to do. It is the real Spain and that was what we wanted. Back to the house, we felt welcomed and relaxed as soon as we arrived. Plenty of space, welcome pack on the counter information notes about the area etc. We would have no hesitation in recommending the house and the location. |
The semi-detached rental chalet is situated 150 meters from a 20 km strip of wide sandy beach, in a quiet 'get away from it all' setting.
The chalet has air conditioning, heating and fans, making them suitable as a year-round holiday rental properties. The large patio with chairs and two sun loungers has a barbecue, and is a great place to sunbathe.
The living room has a Satellite TV, a DVD/CD player and a separate TV with integral VHS, plus a collection of books and magazines. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, freezer, fridge, gas hob, microwave and electric oven. A washing machine and dryer is also provided.

The chalet has rights to a private shared pool, just a short walk away, from mid-June through September.
RENTAL ACCOMMODATION
- The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed, air conditioning unit and ceiling fan.
- The second bedroom has twin beds, air conditioning unit and ceiling fan
- The third bedroom has twin beds, ceiling fan
- Full bathroom.
LOCATION
The delta del Ebro Nature Reserve is a beautiful wetland that attracts large numbers of nesting and migrating birds including flamingos. The fertile sandy soils provide the perfect conditions for supplying Spain with its paella rice. Wild plant life abounds.
The area is ideal for gentle walks and cycling excursions, with refreshment available from the 3 cantinas that serve the mile-long maritime. This one is just 3 minutes walk from the chalets, and is at the gateway to the wide sandy beach.
A network of paths can be explored on bikes that are available for hire locally. These paths follow the rice paddies and boardwalks provide access to the wide and often deserted beaches.
Although a car is necessary for exploring further afield, local provisions and restaurants are within easy walking distance.
CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR FAMILY HOLIDAYS
With cheap low-season air fares and the mild climate of the Costa Dorada, where better than the delta del Ebro Nature Reserve to walk off the excesses of Christmas. TRAVEL INFORMATION
A car is required because there are is no local public transport, but rail travellers should alight at L'Aldea-Amposta-Tortosa, which is 15 km away. By car, the chalet is approach from the A-7 motorway, which is also 15 km away.
