El Monte Bajo is set on a gentle hillside looking down on the charmingly small coastal town of Nerja. Set one kilometre from the beach and enjoying exquisite panoramic views of the Sierra Almijara mountains and the sea mountains, this property is unique in capturing the rustic country environment found in inland Spain while at the same time being close to the beach and the extensive facilities of Nerja with its restaurants, bars and local pueblo-style lifestyle.
The gardens and natural setting with glorious views make this an idyllic place for a holiday. It is also the perfect location for recuperating, gentle strolls around the garden, painting or writing a book perhaps... or just lazing by the pool with a good book.
VILLA FOR RENT
The mature botanical garden, unique in the area, is tended to by an established local gardener (Joaquin) who has looked after it as his 'preciosa joya' (special jewel) for some 15 years.
RENTAL ACCOMMODATION
The house itself has been carefully restored and extended to turn was what once a modest sized 'casa de campo' (spanish country house) in to a property that can now accommodate up tot 6 adults and 4 children. Traditional local materials and antique wood were used for the renovation and in some cases the 'new' materials are more than 100 years old.
The property has a fridge freezer, dishwasher, hob and oven, washing machine, dryer, microwave, satellite television... In fact there is everything necessary to assure a comfortable stay, with the beautiful gardens provide ample space for finding tranquillity and solitude.
Three twin bedded rooms to accommodate SIX adults with additional space to accommodate up to 4 children (10 guests in total).

The gardens include more than a dozen fruit trees, a generous sized swimming pool with sun deck, BBQ and pergola which also doubles as a grapevine. Day long sunshine (or shade) is assured due to the size of the grounds (almost half an acre). There are numerous sunbathing areas and half a dozen corners for taking that afternoon nap or drink in a more shaded area.
Your own private gardens and pine forest
In the evenings, the gardens are illuminated while the gentle sound of the waterfall in the fish pond can be heard (provided the frogs are not being too noisy).
NERJA HOLIDAY INFORMATION
Nerja is perfect for walking holidays, rural and countryside retreats, beach or lakeside relaxation, as well as for a Winter sun break and cycling holidays.
Local sports include tennis in Nerja, watersports, a waterpark for the children (and adults!), horse riding, bicycle hire.
There is also golf within a 30 minutes drive.
