Costa del Sol Spain holiday apartment for rent - sleeps 4
This gorgeous first floor apartment has two terraces both with superb views. The grand terrace leads from the living room and master bedroom and basks in sun from early afternoon until sunset and has views of the mountains, sea and Gibraltar and Africa (on a clear day). The smaller breakfast terrace leading from the kitchen has the sun from sunrise till late morning and enjoys views of the sub-tropical garden, the swimming pool, the mountains and the sea.
The living room is furnished with two leather couches, a beautiful glass topped dining table with 6 matching chairs and co-ordingating sideboard. There is a new 32" LCD television and a dvd player and stereo. There is a large selection of CDs, DVDs, books and games for the very occasional bad weather day.
The kitchen is fully equipped with ample china and glassware as well as many utensils and pots and pans etc. There is a fridge/freezer, 4 ring halogen hob, electric oven, dishwasher and microwave. There is a separate utility room which houses the washing machine and tumble dryer, iron and ironing board.
Parking is in a secure underground garage with a lift up to the apartment.
Accommodation
The master bedroom (which has a door onto the Grand terrace) has a king size bed with an English mattress. There are ample fitted wardrobes and lots of drawers. The en-suite bathroom has a bath, separate shower, toilet, bidet and sink set into a marble topped vanity unit.
The second bedroom has two single beds (with English mattresses), fitted wardrobes and drawers. The bathroom has a bath with shower over, toilet, bidet and wash basin.
Both bedrooms have televisions and hair dryers. Cots and high chairs can be provided for a small extra charge.
Estepona Area and Tourist Information
The apartment is well situated for access to numerous golf courses, championship and otherwise for players with high or low handicaps. We are a stone's throw from on of the best animal reserves in Europe which offers a wonderful day out for the family and if you wish you can purchase a combined ticket for the animal reserve (Selwo Aventura), the Marina and the Benalmadena Cable Car making a large saving.
The local beach is 10 minutes walk from the apartment and there is an excellent beach bar there.
There are a couple of Spanish restaurants only a 5 minute walk away but if you want to eat food from any other type of gastronomy you will find it within easy driving distance.
There is a wonderful shopping and dining experience a few kilometres down the road towards Estepona. It is called Laguna Beach and is well worth a visit. The world famous haunt of the beautiful people, Puerto Banus, is about 10 - 15 minutes drive. You have to visit and see the amazing boats and cars as well as the designer shops.
The area is rich in Spanish culture. Even in Marbella town centre you can experience 'old Spain' as well as atmospheric tapas bars and restaurants. If you want to be more adventurous you are surrounded by the famous 'white villages' and of course Ronda is easily accessible with the oldest functioning bull ring in Spain.
Marbella itself is quite close. If you like shopping a visit to the department store El Corte Ingles with a Harrod's like food hall will make your day.
The local markets, Saturday near the bull ring in Puerto Banus
and Thursday in San Pedro
are worth a visit.
Ojen, Gaucin and Duquesa are also picturesque
Short trips to Casares village
near Estepona
and Ronda, with its famous bridge are a must.
For the more adventurous a day trip across the Mediterranean to Morocco by ferry is nearby. For the family there is a Selwo safari park zoo (www.selwo.es), an aquarium, water parks and many fishing or dolphin boat trips.
Estepona Travel Details - how to get to Estepona
The apartment is between Malaga and Gibraltar airports. The time from Gibraltar airport is approximately 35 minutes and from Malaga airport approximately 50 minutes. We usually book our car hire on line and pick up the vehicle at which ever airport we are travelling to.
