The area...Superb 200 sqm apartment
located in the higher zone of Barcelona. The four story building is known
as one of the best in the area. It was built in 1953 by the owner's
great-uncle with the assistance of the designer Josep Rigol. Both of
them made several trips to Florence for inspiration, for the feeling and style of the
House. Luckily, they were successful.

The underground, just in front of the house, reaches the city center
in 8 minutes. Several bus stops and easily available taxi services offer
an efficient transport network. Walk just 100m.
The area is fully equipped with all you might need. Supermarkets,
fresh food market, shops, delicatessens, round-the-clock pharmacy, as well
as bars and some top restaurants, all within 500 metres.
Have a great delicatessen breakfast in "Tivoli" or "Baixas", and plan
your lunch. Buy all the best and fresh ingredients in the old local market
Galvany and go home to
your sunny kitchen. Enjoy an aperitif on the marble table next to the
terrace and relax with your own home-made tapas .
The apartment...you enter by crossing the classical and
spacious ground floor hall and take either the marble stairs or the old
style wooden elevator. In the apartment, the roomy hall with wooden floors
and nice paintings will welcome your group. Start your holiday with music,
if you can play the harmonium.
The hall divides the apartment into two parts.
The sleeping area is on your right. In former times the apartment had
four bedrooms. Today three bedroms (2 double +1 twin + an optional extra bed in one of the 3 rooms). The fourth was
adapted as the library and owner’s office. It is at your disposal with
telephone and internet connection ISDN. Two bathrooms complete the sleeping
area.
The living room is on your left. Warm and comfortable ambience with a
decorative open fire. The paintings give character & style. TV and
Stereo CD player (Bang&Olufsen).
The dining room, with a marble table, is next to the bright and
roomy, fully equipped kitchen. Small balcony (3 M2). The laundry room
(washing machine, tumble dryer, iron & board and cupboard with house
linen,etc...) is next to the kitchen. Separate WC and a 2nd outside door
for services with a second elevator.
All rooms with windows, except one bathroom.
The concierge, Miquel, is there from 7.30am to 14pm and from 16 to
20pm, from Monday to Friday. He takes care of the cleaning of the entrance
and the hall, collects the rubbish daily, and controls the visits to the
house.
Optional cleaning : 1 or 2 days per week. Cost 50 Euro/day (5 hours).
The telephone and internet costs are billed at the end of the
period.
